Before coming to KOOL in Texarkana, Erik worked at Country, Top 40 Pop, Rock, News-Talk and of course Oldies radio stations in towns like Waco,
Killeen, Temple and Austin, Texas. Erik teamed up with Chucker in 95’ to
launch one of the most successful Oldies stations in Texas history.
Known for having one of the best voices in "the biz", Erik works as the
Production and Imaging Director for KOOL along with sister stations KPGG,
KGAP, KLMZ, KCAR & KKTK. He performs voice-over work for numerous radio and
television stations across the country and is the owner of a
radio-television imaging and production company based in Texarkana.
Erik Tobias grew up in a military family, originally from Washington State,
lived in Hawaii for several years and finally moved to Texas which he has called home since 1988. Erik is pictured with his son, Spencer, (above) at work playing the Oldies.
