It has been the greatest honor to have represented you as your candidate in the MN-3 Congressional race. Thank you for your enthusiastic support!

With your support and an amazing campaign team and volunteers, we built a challenge that was creative and vibrant enough to prod the comfortable incumbent into actively campaigning in the last few weeks before the election, something not seen for many years in the 3rd CD.
Although our opponent out-spent us 20 to one, we set the best numbers for a midterm election DFL challenge in our district in 16 years! Our debates are still online.

Because of your dedication and hard work throughout this campaign season, we have great cause for joy: new leadership in Washington and new leadership in St. Paul. We now have enough of a majority in both the federal and state legislatures that we can begin to reverse many of the bad policies that have been pushed through in the past four to six years.
Our nation and our state are now set upon a new course for success and opportunity for all of us. Thank you for your part in making that change reality, and for supporting our campaign and my candidacy in bringing the issues to the forefront in MN-3.
Warmly and sincerely yours,
Wendy Wilde

God bless you Wendy Wilde! Hope to hear some of those great songs re:"I Got Pawlenty of Nothin'" during your campaign. Miss you on the radio, but I love where you're going. Enjoy the journey, and give 'em hell when you get there! Best wishes with your run I know you can get it done!!
Peace and Love,

Great to hear you announced a bid.
We need someone who can speak clearly & succintly in this district.
We need some straight talk which REALLY addresses issues for the future
Personally, I have had enough of apologists for wrong-headed policies.
Ramstad gets a lot of cover with a general perception that he's a moderate. In comparison to some of the extremists he may be.
But then comes the voting record.
What Ramstad says doesn't matter - when the voting record tells a different & less responsible story.
We've had enough Ramstad to last us decades.
GO WENDY!

Here's a partial critique of Ramstad's April newes release posted on his website:
ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT. Congress enacted a comprehensive energy bill ? with emphasis on conservation, renewables and increased supply ? to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and lower gas prices. I opposed drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) due to environmental concerns.
This doesn't say anything about price gouging, oil company collusion, Dick Cheney's Energy Task Force and what was discussed, also implications of inflation from rising fuel costs and implications of middle east war plans on gas prices.
What about global warming?

It may be a conservative district but everyone in the 3rd has to buy gas which will climb well over $3/gallon. What response do we get from our Congressman and the other Repuublicans? I too am conservative: I don't want to give every dime I have to pay multi-million dollar compensation to the fat asses who run Exon Mobil and BP Amoco. We need someone who is on our side in the War on the Middle Class.

At my precinct caucus I told my State Legislator that we need a credible candidate to run in the 3rd District. Given John Kerry's strong showing in the 3rd District in the last election Jim Ramstad is vulnerable if you conduct a high profile and well organized campaign. Go for it.

While your show was on Air America MN you showed us your knowledge of the issues and your fighting spirit. We need people like you representing us unlike the current state of affairs where big money is represented instead of the people.
Give 'em hell Wendy, win or lose your voice should be heard for all of our sakes.
Godspeed.

With only around 6 months till election day a decision better come soon. The 3rd district convention has to be around the corner, assuming you want to run with a (D) behind your name that is.
I would say go for it.

Ramstad aids and abetts the war on the Middle Class and turns a tin ear to the Washington Mess. He won't take a public stance on Social Security privitization as I documented in the Star-Tribune letter to editor a year ago. If he won't speak out on the issues then he's part of the problem. Do a check and you will find that he's probably spent his entire adult life feeding from the public trough. He parts with the administraiton on issues where the Republicans don't need his vote so that he can say he supports moderates but the truth is he's with Bush all the way. Retire him to public life. He also voted on a bill to deny gays and lesbians constitutional rights. dave zarkin, bloomington

Tough seat to run for & a fairly conservative district.
Yet that's a changing demographic as people wake up from the disconnect the current administration's supporters have foisted on Americans.
Irrespective of the outcome --
furthering the debate & forcing an honest discussion alone, is a strong reason for you to enter the fray.
AND if it all shakes out - you could win!

I hope you do run for office. I don't live in the area but you'd have support from all over the state. Still missing your drive time show.
