Advanced topology using an administrative agent

There are several installation scenarios, for example economy disaster recovery and failover tiers, where multiple single server environments are sufficient. Flexible management enables this type of environment through use of the administrative agent.

To reduce process adders, we can convert economy clusters into single server environments.

We will be swapping a nodeagent process for an adminagent process, so that is a net zero. If servers are already federated, but non-clustered (singletons), there are no net process savings to have adminagent rather than nodeagent.

The illustration below shows a possible topology using an administrative agent to manage all the single server installations on Server B.

Rather than administering federated servers, or starting an admin console for each appserver (server1), services are managed using administrative agent for all profiles.

Again, net zero in terms of processes added or removed if we use federated servers.
